ちょうどこの白墨について云うと、白い色と白墨の形とを切離すようなものでこの格段な白墨を目安にして論ずると白い色をとれば形はなくなってしまいますし、またこの形をとれば白い色も消えてしまいます。両つのものは二にして一、一にして二と云ってもしかるべきものであります。そこで哲理的に論ずるとなかなか面倒ですから、分りやすいために実例で説明しようと思います。せんだって大学で講義の時に引用した例がありますから、ちょっとそれで用を弁じておきます。
