上半頁に Lesson 1. Object, と！ 石・本・樹木其他は“are all objects. All things that we can see are objects. The chair, the hat, the book etc., were made by man. The store, the tree etc., were not made by man, but were created by God, and are called created things. The things which are made by man are not created things.”
とあり、下半頁に、

と、実に面倒な漢文で訳がついている。
第二は、可なり朦朧とした Creature と Beings の説明で、第三から人体、衣食住に関する常識以下、博物、地文、産業、経済、物理、生理にまできっちり七行ずつ、触れている。
