法窓夜話

この事の顛末を聴かれた皇帝は歓喜極りなく、天を仰いで神に拝謝し、「朕はここに畏くも我上帝が、正義を行って懼れざる法官と、恥辱を忍んで法に遵う皇儲とを与えられたる至大の恩恵を感謝し奉る」と叫ばれたという事である。

右の皇帝の言葉は、近頃の書物には通常左の如く書いてある。
